If you want to tone your full body, lose weight or train for a certain event then you need to include some weight training into your sessions that work all the muscle groups in your body.
Doing regular gym sessions where you will work all muscle groups will help you reach your fitness goals quicker than running, cycling or stepping for a hour every time you step foot into a gym.
The benefits of weight training are:
- Improved muscle tone and appearance
- Muscle strength increases
- Enhanced bone density
- Increased muscle endurance
- Improved posture
- Reduces the risk of everyday injuries
- Prevention of osteoporosis
Start slowly by using light weights then as your body gets used to the training start to progress and up the weight slightly. If you do this as well as some cardio then you will reach the goals that you have set yourself.

P.S For any women looking to start weight training it will not turn you into a masculine body builder. It will however help you get that figure that you have always wanted/want again.
